What Are Aluminum Honeycomb Panels for Stone Backing?
Aluminum honeycomb panels for stone backing are professional composite base materials specially designed for natural stone and ceramic tile cladding projects.
Different from ordinary architectural decorative honeycomb panels, these panels are optimized in structure, flatness and bonding performance to perfectly match thin stone veneers, solving the common defects of solid stone in engineering applications.
The panel adopts a classic sandwich structure: two layers of high-precision aluminum skins tightly bond with a hexagonal aluminum honeycomb core. We configure 0.5mm and 0.8mm aluminum skins and 3/8 inch honeycomb cores as the mainstream specifications for stone backing, which form a stable and stress-balanced composite base.
When compounded with 3mm to 8mm thin marble, granite, travertine or ceramic slabs, it creates lightweight, high-strength stone composite panels.
Unlike generic honeycomb panels, our stone-specific aluminum honeycomb panels focus on two core performances: ultra-high flatness to avoid stone cracking after bonding, and strong adhesive compatibility to ensure no delamination or hollowing after long-term use.
They are the most ideal backing material for modern large-area stone wall cladding, exterior facades, elevator decoration and high-end interior feature walls.
