What is aluminum honeycomb core?

Aluminum honeycomb core is made from high quality aluminum foil in alloy 3003 series and alloy 5000 series.

The aluminum foil is treated anti-corrosion and with micro perforations on the foil walls.

Aluminum honeycomb core is a kind of green and environmental compounded materials of high quality, low density, fire protection, sound insulation and thermal insulation.

Aluminum Honeycomb Core Feature:

1. Light Weight, High Strength
The density of aluminum honeycomb is from 0.5 to 1 kilogram /square meter, which greatly reduces honeycomb composite panel weight and cost.

2. Fireproof
Honeycomb core is interconnected by numerous “工”-shaped beams which are not easy to be deformed and has a good resistance of bending and compression, so that the whole honeycomb sheet is very stable.

3. Corrosion Resistance
It has a better corrosion resistance than wood and paper.

4.  Voice Absorption
The honeycomb-made panel can perfectly avoid noisy situation that the sound waves is greatly hindered.

Cell size: From 4mm to 30mm

Cell side length: From 2mm to 25mm

Foil thickness; From 0.04mm to 0.15mm

Thickness/height: From 3mm to 300mm

Expanded honeycomb core size: 1220x2440mm, 1250x3500mm, 1500x3000mm, any customized size.

Max Sheet Sizes: 1700mm (L) x 8000mm (W)

Normally aluminum honeycomb core is shipped in unexpanded slices, when you receive the slices you can expand the honeycomb core by hand. This is to save shipping space and avoid any damages during transportation.
